What is it Like to Be You? A Circling Weekend

Imagine a practice that wakes you up — not through effort or striving, but through presence. That heals old wounds by meeting them, not analyzing them. That shows you dimensions of yourself you didn't know were there. That deepens your capacity to stay grounded and real in intensity — in love, in conflict — in the moments that actually matter in your day to day life.

A practice that integrates everything you've been working on — your meditation, your bodywork, your therapy, your years on the cushion — and lands it in the space between you and another person. Or, if you've never practiced before — starts you right where you are.

And it starts with an absurdly simple question:

**What is it like to be you?**

Not the story you've told a hundred times, or what you think people want to hear. Really, just now, and here — what is it like to be you?

That practice is Circling, and on May 30th and 31st in Amsterdam, I'm hosting a weekend to practice it together.

**May 30–31, Amsterdam.**

**Renewing the practice**

Over the past year I've written a book on Circling. It started as something to help people who came to my weekends ground in some of the basic approaches we take when practicing, but it became something much bigger: a renewal of the practice, from the ground up.

For years, I've been asking: what is actually happening when we Circle? What is it that we're doing, and how can you best teach that? What makes it transformative, and not just interesting? And how does this practice connect to the larger path of healing and awakening that many of us are already on with meditation, embodiment work, therapy, psychedelics, tantra, etc?

What I've found has been a revelation — not because it was new, but because it had always been there. Circling is a practice of awakening, a foundational practice for a 21st century tantra. One that happens *in* relationship, and that can help integrate everything else into your actual, lived, day-to-day life.

This weekend is a launch — for the book, for this approach -- and more!

Oh! The Book!

I'm in the editing and design phase now -- so stay tuned! I'll make some announcements on FB when it's ready to share, or you can sign up to my email list at andrewlouisvenezia.life for when it's ready.

**What we'll do:**

This is an Anchor Circling weekend -- what others call a Birthday Circle. You'll have the chance to receive a kind of deep, attuned attention that most of us rarely experience in ordinary life. And you'll learn a number of different practices and approaches to help you weave this kind of presence into your everyday.

Expect:
- Intro practices to ground us and make the work accessible
- Anchor Circles — the core of the weekend
- Clear teaching on *what* we're practicing, *why* it matters, and how this connects to a larger path of awakening and integration

This is the beginning of a journey — into the depth of presence, truth and aliveness of your very own heart.

**Questions?**

*Do I need Circling experience?*
Nope! If you have a practice of some kind — meditation, yoga, therapy, any form of inner work — you'll find your way in. If this is genuinely your first step into any kind of practice, reach out to me first and we'll see if it's a fit.

*Is this an intro workshop?*
Yes, and no -- the format, and the practice, should be accessible to anyone. But even if you've been a longtime Circler there ought to be something helpful for you in this approach -- that ends up being the case for many people I talk to about their experience with the practice. And of course, the depth of what is possible is determined by the people in the room.

*How is this different from other Circling?*
Stay tuned! In short, though, the relationship to a practice of awakening is clearer and more explicit, the actual "moves" we do when we Circle are organized and taught differently, and my pedagogical (teaching) and organizational style is different from the other Circling schools. In some sense, you'll recognize this immediately as Circling, and very little in the practice might look different. In another sense, everything is changed.
